Planetary Industry is a game mechanic that allows you to extract materials and create commodities out of planets. In other words, it's a passive ISK printer.
If you like games like Factorio, it may also be enjoyable to you.
With level 5 skills (see below), and depending on your time investment, you can easily make a billion+ ISK per month per character.
Train the following skills to level 5:
- Command Center Upgrades - allows you to build more facilities on planets.
- Interplanetary Consolidation - each level gives you an additional planet to control, up to 6.
The other three skills (Planetology, Advanced Planetology, and Remote Sensing) are less important, but can be helpful when planning out and building your planets.
- A ship. The classic PI ship is the Epithal, you find a fitting in corp fitting.
- One command center per planet type you intend to build on.
- We have plenty of these in Member assets for the taking.
- Pick the commodities you want to produce.
- Easiest is P2, as some commodity/planet combinations allow going from P0→P2 on the same planet, although efficiency is low.
- Best is to have multiple mining planets that export P1.
- Export these P1's to a factory planet that produce P2 or P3.
- Don't bother with P4's unless you find it personally rewarding - P2 or P3 are much more ISK efficient.
- A single P4 requires 2-3 characters worth of planets.
- Determine your time investment.
- A common starting point is having your Extractor Control Units on a 3-7 day reset (takes seconds unless you manually reset the heads for maximum efficiency), with weekly hauling runs (5-10 min per character if in same system like our WH will be).
- Implement your plan.
- Profit.
